Cynthia Hibbard
My original motivation and drive to become a therapist was, in large part, rising from the invaluable help and support I received from a passionate therapist during a turning point in my life. Over time, I have come to greatly value the process of helping others to transcend adversity, manage life, and find meaning in their life experience.
I have been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist since 2008, working with clients of all ages from diverse places and backgrounds in both non-profit and private clinical settings. I am committed to forming collaborative partnerships with my clients to monitor the alliance I have with them and the outcome of the services I am providing.
I apply various Cognitive Behavioral evidenced-based therapeutic models and techniques, including Solution-focused, Strategic, Structural, and Multigenerational family therapies. We will work together, in a collaborative fashion, to develop an understanding of the problem and a treatment strategy in order to change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns, and adjust problematic emotions. I have extensive experience with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, and many other mental health diagnoses.
Taking the first step towards treatment is a vital move towards improving your mental health and overall quality of well-being.
I look forward to joining in your personal journey of growth and change for a satisfying, purposeful and meaningful life .
