    Dr. Bassi

I truly believe our life circumstances and experiences guide us through life and help us understand who we want to be. I became interested in psychology at a very young age. My brother, four years younger, suffered severe birth trauma which left him with limited abilities in life. Frustrated with how little I could do to make his life better, I made it my mission to help others overcome hurdles in life.

I have lived most of my life in Southern California where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California Los Angeles. I then pursued my Masters’ degree in Forensic Psychology and ultimately received both Masters and Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from California School of Professional Psychology with an emphasis on Marital and Family Therapy. I have completed over 7000 of supervised internship hours and hold two licenses as a Clinical Psychologist as well as Marriage and Family therapist.

I utilize both traditional therapeutic methods, as well as evidence-based treatments supported by current research. My integrative approach allows me to draw from different therapeutic strategies based on the needs of my clients, as opposed to a one-size-fits all approach. My specialties include marital and family issues, immigration/acculturation issues, child/adolescent issues, parenting skills, anger management training, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, vocational and psychological testing.

In addition to psychotherapy, I volunteer as a global adjunct faculty teaching Masters level psychology courses at an online university.

Moreover, I collaborate with a wonderful foundation called “Human in the Making” by speaking at their seminars around Southern California and appearing on their TV shows “Knowledge, Vision, Freedom” as often as time allows.

Lastly, I am fluent in Farsi and advanced in Turkish.

I look forward to talking with you and learning more about how I can help.
